I lived in Singapore for 20 years. I was really really looking forward to having that familiar taste of home. I was disappointed. I know exactly what this dish needs to be. I've eaten it multiple times.
Rice was sticky and not fluffy. It also missed that wonderful chicken rice flavour.
Chili sauce wasn't spicy enough and the black bean sauce was wayyy too sweet
Ginger garlic paste was salty. Overall the accompanying condiments did not lift the dish
Chicken was moist but bland. That was disappointing. To play 14 for the dish is sorely expensive without the dish delivering on flavor what so ever highly overrated and not worth it.
