One of the worst investment companies that I have dealt with. I only wanted to inform them of my change of address and email. Impossible to deal with. Want to close my account now due to bad customer service.

AJ Bell Lifetime Isa Review Firstly, AJ Bell stipulate a maximum 10 working days from the receipt of any lifetime isa withdrawal form. This is exceptionally long and Im my case my no progress was made until 6 working days in when they began reviewing mine. I was told on this day (the 28th) that the targeted date of the 30th was still on course and AJ Bell saw no reason why they couldnt achieve this date as they were made aware of it from day one. The 30th arrived and i was told they still hasnt passed it to HMRC for checks and they couldnt forecast when it will arrive. Id already arranged the rest of my property chain and lender for an exchange date of the 30th on the back of AJ bells guidance. To cut a long story and 10+ phone calls short, the next day i was told it would arrive on that same day (via email) one individual told me 2.30pm another 3.30pm and another 5.00pm / close of business day. The last employee even made a sarcastic remark about how many times id chased, i wouldnt of needed to chase had they stuck to their word and not fobbed me off with lies! It still hasnt arrive in my solicitors account today even though it had left my account hours before and it was an instant bank transfer. Yet again id let down the chain and cost them thousands in the process, and also cost myself 150 in additional interest charges for holding my lenders money 2 days longer than necessary. I even have an email confirming we would receive the funds on this day. I will update this review to reflect whether the funds land tomorrow, however i wont be holding my breath. For context my funds were held in cash and not a stocks/ share or any other investment. If you are thinking of opening a LISA without AJ Bell i would look elsewhere. They are dishonest, unhelpful and rude on occasions. If you are still adamant about using AJ Bell i would suggest allowing twice the amount of time they advise for the withdrawal of funds for a house purchase to be on the safe side of their incompetence. P.S during all of this, my solicitors were getting just as frustrated with the lies and began to chase themselves as i was at work. They couldnt pass any of the security questions because AJ Bell had my date of birth wrong on their records by one day. AJ Bell admitted it was a typo on their part ( they have all my ID) im not sure how mistake was not checked on legal documents involving thousands of pounds. Luckily this error was not flagged by HMRC although our solicitor were very concerned it would be. This is testament to how poor Aj Bells LISA service is.

I use AJ Bell for my ISA and SIPP. The online and mobile apps are great, really user friendly and responsive. From my research they were the best value platform for trading too.
