Personally I would not use them but the people responsible for the maintenance of my property do. They came to fix a leaking water cylinder & left my flat with water flooding it, called them up and another workman came and like the first said the insulation around the cylinder needed to "dry out", I was left again with water pouring everywhere, this went on for a week.. I called them again and told them to come and turn the water off as the situation was getting worse, by this time damage had also been caused to the home of my neighbour downstairs. My flooring has been damaged. Another occasion they have been called to install heating & have damaged a part of my flooring, neither of the workmen mentioned it so I pointed it out to them. They really do not seem to care what damage they cause to someone's home. I wouldn't even give them one star but that's not an option.

BEWARE OF THIS NEGLIGENT AND DISHONEST BUILDING COMPANY. Woodnut Construction & Development Limited was contracted by another company to renovate a building adjoining our building which has a flat roof and is two storeys lower. The company, with our permission, worked off scaffold erected on our building. In the flat roof is a rainwater outlet connected to a drainpipe which goes down through the first floor flat and ground floor shop. My email was sent to Alex Williams, Woodnuts director, telling him on Friday: There is now a considerable amount of rubble on our roof and in the gutter which your foreman(?) said would be swept away. Would you please ensure that it is done before the weekend to avoid any rainfall washing it into the drains. Also, cement is falling on the roof, into the gutter and down the drainpipe. I know that because some of it was caught by the wire balloon which I placed in the gulley. Your failure to protect the rainwater outlets contravenes your method statement. Williams sent an email in reply saying his guys are being instructed to clear all before the weekend and that his quantity surveyor would check. The q.s. later the same day sent photographs of the roof cleared of rubble. In fact the photographs only showed where the rubble had been cleared and not where a substantial amount of debris had been hidden under scaffold boards. After a very wet weekend the blocked downpipe caused water damage in the flat and shop. The blockage had been caused by debris being swept and/or washed into the outlet or by the cement falling off the workmans trowel or out of the brickwork where he was doing the repointing or by a combination. I had personally seen the repointing being carried out but Williams did not know that and he falsely claimed that we have not yet proceeded with the re-pointing. He further claimed we did not completely cover your outlet when working as it needs to be free to allow rainwater to be discharged from the roof. In fact, there was no protective cover at all and it was not raining when the cement work was being done! In order to clear the blockage the pipe had to be cut. Black sludge poured out on to the floor and on to the white painted walls in the shop. There was another negligent episode when part of a brick fell off the scaffold into a pushchair. This was presumably because there was no or insufficient protective sheeting on the scaffold or the debris netting was not tied within the scaffold toe-boards. My surveyor had written to the main contractor and their surveyor before any work had started and again before the weekend regarding the need to protect rainwater outlets. As I said in a subsequent email Woodnut are a disaster waiting to happen.

I had sound-proofing recently installed by Woodnut Construction & Developments. They have been absolutely fantastic! The results of the insulation exceeded all expectations. They have maintained a high level of professionalism and a great deal of patience from start to finish. I was especially impressed with how clean they left the place each day in spite of returning to work again the following day. From my experience with them I highly recommend. They have truly been brilliant. The sound proofing has made a world of difference to my life, my health and peace of mind. Very much appreciated. Thank you so much
