Rebeccas was asked to re-design the family bathroom, which dated from the seventies. This was the first time I have used an interior designer and given the result would use her again. I did not have a clear idea of what kind of bathroom I wanted, so gave Rebecca a free reign to design a modern and attractive bathroom within a set budget with only one proviso, that the shower be located in a particular corner of the room. Rebecca asked about my likes and dislikes regarding colour schemes etc and discussed her ideas with me. Her visualization was bold in that she chose a black tiled floor and one of the four walls in matching black tiles with a complementary white and grey colour scheme and chrome fittings for the taps and shower. She spent time and energy carrying out various measurements and looked at numerous bathroom fittings and colour schemes that she felt would match my wishes. She presented three-dimensional drawings and detailed technical designs showing exactly where everything was to be placed. The project then moved onto the purchase of the tiles and bathroom items for fitting, which was then followed by its installation. Her detailed work and measurements was so accurate that they were used by the company that installed the bathroom as their basis for its installation. The project is now complete and I am very pleased with its outcome including the use of the black tiles which, initially, l was not keen on as a colour scheme. The installation was completed within my budget, so I am very pleased with that and I can say the bathroom has met my expectations. My neighbour and a brother have seen the finished bathroom and have indicated that would consider using Rebeccas services at a future date. She has my personal recommendation.

Rebecca has been great to work with on this project, this is the first time I have used an interior designer and, as it turns out, I was her first client. We both took a step into the unknown and I'm pleased to say I have not come away disappointed. Rebecca is very easy to communicate with and easily visualised the ideas that I put across to her. The reason I was looking for an interior designer in the first place is because I do not have a 'creative' mind, I can't visualise things. Rebecca took my ideas and listened to what styles/colours I liked and I was presented with a 20 page document full of technical drawings and ideas that I loved, it was clear that my ideas had been listened to and thought about as the mock designs for the areas I am decorating (master bedroom, living room/kitchen and hallway) all looked exactly how I would like them. The whole process was painless from beginning to end and as Rebecca would take my ideas away she would come back to me with more suggestions and the more into the project we got to more I was able to visualise things for myself. The project has finished its design stage and I'm now moving onto the build stage where I intent to post before and after pictures once it has been finished. The work and furnishings/ideas all came within budget as well so everything has been perfect. Would highly recommend.
