Really enjoyed our climbing day with Paul. Incredibly helpful and clear instructions, and really knew the area and the crag's like the back of his hand.

We did a day sport climbing course with Paul today in the Peak District. Paul was an excellent guide very knowledgeable and patient would certainly recommend this course for anyone wanting to make the transition from indoor to outdoor climbing.

Stuart Vernon delivered a fantastic 2 day first aid course for Peak Mountaineering. Having done 9/10 of these courses already I can safely say its the best one I've been on. Stu was highly professional but also made the course interesting and fun with loads of useful info/practical scenarios.

Just been on a 2 day mountaineering course with Paul in the Cairngorms. Meeting in a cafe on the first morning, we discussed our experience and what we would like to achieve during the course. Paul also went through the weather, local conditions and safety aspects such as equipment. Despite the lean snow conditions, Paul has a great knowledge of the area and was able to navigate us to a snow filled gully in good conditions for the skills we wanted to learn. Over the 2 days, we covered all of the mountaineering skills that I wanted to learn, some specific to winter such as snow anchors, others that can be used all year round such as rock belays and rope management. Paul was professional throughout but also extremely friendly and easy to get on with. We had a great time with a lot of laughs. Any time I needed a short break, Paul was happy to accomodate and attentively checked how we were feeling over the course, ensuring we were enjoying it and doing what we wanted to. The team at Peak Mountaineering are also very responsive to email both before and after the course for my additional questions and the full booking process was easy.
