Serendipity Cottage Castleton

My wife and I have just completed a four night stay at Serendipity Cottage. We found it to be very comfortable, cosy and well appointed. There was tea, coffee and biscuits waiting for us on arrival, along with a vase of fresh Tulips. My Mother is living in the nearby Esk Moors Lodge and the cottage was the perfect base for us. We will have no hesitation in booking to stay here for future visits.

We stayed at Serendipity Cottage last minute and Louise was very helpful and accommodating and got the cottage ready for us at short notice. The cottage is situated in the perfect place the explore the surrounding areas. One of our favourites was Danby Estate Visitor Centre - they have a lovely shop and cafe; the staff were very helpful and suggested some walks. Whitby and Staithes are approx. 20-25 minutes away by car however you can get the train from Castleton to Whitby which was nice. Overall the cottage was perfect and had everything we needed during out stay and we would definitely recommend.

Perfect stay for a young family. Plenty of room for a family of four and baby without being overcrowded. View from kitchen across to the moor, well situated for beaches and heartbeat country. Parking right outside the front door and all amenities in the village nearby.very clean which was lovely compared to some places we have stayed.
