The Original Blue John Craft Shop

Paired with the cavern, this store is an incredible piece of history. With a beautiful selection of blue John stone, jewellery and unique pieces such as eggs or urns the things inside are truly one of a kind. Additional they have a beautiful selection of leather products like bags, home decor and gifts. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly, the items for sale are great quality. I have a necklace from them which I adore and have worn many times. You can completely personalise the jewelry picking out the setting, looking at the different colours of stone, then choose the length and style of chain you want. If visiting the hope valley this is a must see. Plus once in castleton there are lots of other cafes and things to see and do. Can't wait to go back! Great place to buy presents (for others or yourself)!

Had a great visit to the Blue John Mine and found out that Blue John Cavern have a Jewellery and Craft Shop. My original Blue John stone had been broken for a very long time as my sons used it as a teething ring when being held. The only damage was to my necklace but after sending my pendant in the post to the Jewellery Maker at the shop its back looking beautiful again. Its a double sided pendant so each side is slightly different which is fantastic. A top class and knowledgeable service from very skilled professionals. Thee mine tour that we did was brilliant too! I can highly recommend the tour and the shop.

Didnt buy anything, but lovely little gift and craft shop. Friendly owners, and we particularly enjoyed our greyhound meeting their whippet!
