Rose Cottage Castleton

Absolutely love the food and delicious cakes at Rose Cottage. I have visited for the last 25 years and it just gets better. Favourites are the steak and blue cheese hot sandwich, the halloumi and sweet potato stack, the carrot cake or orange almond cake. The staff are lovely and looking forward to the cafe expanding into the garden area, after our tour today with Adam, the manager.

With so many cafes to choose from in the Peak District I can highly recommend this little gem. The food is beautifully presented and absolutely top notch. Quite possibly the tastiest English breakfast I've ever had. Great value. Lovely cafe in the heart of Castleton. Seating inside or out. Both road side or gardens. 5 mins walk from the public car park. It is also a gallery and jewellery shop but mostly caters for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The loos were very clean with a very nice modern interior design. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. They also do take out coffees and treats. Parking: Parking is free around the town but somewhat limited , however there is a large public paid parking close by. At the information centre. 2 min walk.
