Yankee Candle

I visited the shop on 27th December at around 4pm. When I entered the shop, the layout was excellent. The only problem was the staff. The girl that was sat behind the counter was kneeling down and was on her mobile, and she had a young 16 year old doing all the errands and u fortunately she wasnt experienced and neither did she have any product knowledge. I wanted to buy some items but due to the girl not bothering neither did she got off her mobile, I thought Id rather take my business elsewhere as I felt that she was not interacting with any of the customers in the shop, she was also shouting across the desk to customers rather than going Upto them and answering any queries. Bad customer service but I guess she is on a standard wage and did not benefit in anyway if customers bought anything or not. Maybe a key point, no mobiles on shop floor. This may improve the customer service skills. Will not be visiting again unless the rude and careless staff are removed.

The shop itself is absolutely lovely. It is laid out well and you get some really good deals in there, both multi buys and discounts, compared to online or other places that sell Yankee Candles. The only thing that let it down was the member of staff, I smiled when I entered and got nothing back from her and even when she was serving me, she had an attitude and sighed several times, she is in need of some customer service training but other than that, 5 stars!

Lovely shop shame about one member of staff who was rude and arrogant. Will avoid the shop when she's working..
