Cineworld Cinema Castleford

While the lobby is clean and clutter free, the screen rooms are...not....we went today to see the new D&D film, food was reasonably priced for cineworld, tickets were slightly more expensive than our usual cinema (reel) and despite them "cleaning" the screen room literally 10 minutes before my husband & I entered, it wasn't clean at all and we were the 1st guests in the room! The seats, while padded are very, very narrow and this makes them ridiculously uncomfortable! I'm 4ft 8 and I was so cramped, my shoulders have been left in awful pain, at 1st I thought it was simply due to my disability but my 6ft husband is also in pain and experienced the same narrow, cramped issue. The film was supposed to start at 19.10 but didn't start until 19.40! It was incredibly loud and that's saying something for a cinema. The ladies loo was filthy and I won't comment on the mens. We left half way through the film unfortunately because we simply could not cope with the discomfort in the seats. The recline feature was....OK....nothing to write home about but it was different. Maybe if they do an autism friendly screening in a screen room with better seating, I'll consider going back. I admit most if my discomfort COULD be due to my HEDS and autism but as my husband has neither condition and suffered the same complaints, I think its more a cinema issue than my disabilities. I think we will stick to our usual cinema choice in future. Sorry cineworld, your staff were absolutely lovely though!

Title says it all, you go and watch the movie of your choice. Customer service fine but snacks well over priced. 10 for pop and corn, come on. No wonder people take there own snacks.
