I have now worked at Newfield for over 2yrs, it is a real pleasure to work with the amazing team we have, over this very difficult year and half with Covid 19 all the staff team have shown they are made of strong stuff and worked together to ensure our residents are all safe and well.

Ive worked at Newfield for 9 years, i have worked in care then went to the kitchen which i love, i feel like the residents are now family and staff alike.

I have worked at newfield Lodge for 9 years this year! I have worked at many care homes and none are like here for us staff and residents! Residents are happy and we go above and beyond and I'm not just saying it due to working here but it really is the best place I've worked at hence been here for 9 years

I am giving a 1 star review and I am even reluctant to give the one. My reason for this is: My Daughter has worked at Newfield for quite some time now, giving her all to help with the residents needs, Covering shifts for other staff at very short notice ( sometimes being asked to stay on and cover double or treble shifts). However my review is actually about the staff ( not all) mainly the management. I am sickened to hear my daughter was dismissed yesterday after doing a positive covid test. The manager messaged my daughter saying: " How do I even know that test is yours" Totally unprofessional ! Further received a message from the management saying We only have 5 staff in covering ALL Shifts I don't care if you have covid don't worry about the residents just throw a mask on. Understandably my daughter refused to do this as she did not want to put any residents/and other staff at risk. She then received a phone call thereafter saying.. I'M NOT ARGUING WITH YOU don't bother coming back. My daughter was very upset about the decision and especially the way it was handled. Further more... Staff and Residents have the right to Confidentiality yet.. management has passed information on which was shared in confidence to other members of the team. All in all I hope that the Care Home will be able to better themselves and the way they treat their overworked team sooner rather than later. As the residents need as much care and attention as possible. I wish my daughter all the best in finding further employment opportunities in the kind of work she loves to do. Very very poor lack of Team spirit.
