OK I just wanted to comment on the review before mine....I was actually in the salon when the lady was in having her appointment so here's the other side of the review story which I believe is the fair and honest thing to do. I felt for Leah (who's business it is) because this lady was a complete nightmare! She asked for a particular style and cut, she even showed leah where she wanted her hair to fall so once Leah began to work her magic (and she does perform magic on hair let me tell you) this lady was continually shrugging her shoulders and being dramatic saying oh its short(which was exactly the length that she had asked for) and it was as if Leah was performing brain surgery on her not cutting her hair! She was rude and I felt so sorry for Leah who was so attentive and professional throughout the appointment. I actually commented to this lady at the time as I felt she was being over dramatic, embarrassing and disrespectful to be honest. I totally understand why Leah felt anxious knowing this lady was coming in again as whatever Leah would have done wouldn't have been right!! At that 1st appointment Leah spent so much time with this lady (way over the allocated time she allows for each client) and she tried her hardest to please this lady. This lady made it quite clear she was not happy (so I don't understand why she has said she was happy with her hair cut in the review??) The lady says her experience was very unprofessional, embarrassing and traumatic and let me say to you...yes it clearly was but for Leah!! I have visited Lavish hair design for many years and have got to know many of Leahs (very happy) clients and I wanted to say how fantastic both her and Declan are...they make going to the hairdressers a most relaxing and enjoyable experience and I have always without exception been very very happy with the service, the skills they possess and kindness they both have. So I personally want to say to Leah, you my dear do an amazing job (and my boy Declan too obviously) so don't be too disheartened by the review and don't let it affect you because I and hundreds of your other happy clients think your an amazing young woman and we appreciate you.

Declan is a wizard with a hairdryer and as a nervous person visiting the hairdressers has always shown me a warm welcome and put me at ease. He is rare in understanding and listening to what clients want from a hairstyle and I can not recommend him highly enough. The Son is well decorated with a modern vibe and they use good quality products. Services: Hair extensions, Hairstyling

This was only my second visit to the salon and it was my last. On my first visit my hair was long and I asked for it to be cut to shoulder length. I was a bit apprehensive about having so much cut off but was extremely happy with it. On returning for my second visit I was seated by the owner who was going to cut my hair. She asked me how I had managed it whilst running her fingers through my hair. I told her what style I would like but hesitated when she showed me how much more hair she would need to cut off. I looked surprised only to be told by the owner that she hadn't slept for 2 days or eaten anything all day because she knew I was due to come in. I wasn't sure what she meant so I asked her and she said that on my first visit I had mentioned how much hair she was cutting off even though I had asked for it to be cut to shoulder length. I was confused and shocked and didn't really know what she was talking about. I was also embarrassed as there was another client in there. So I told her to leave it to which she apologised and said I'm not the hairdresser for you. I left the salon and burst into tears. I found my experience very unprofessional, embarrassing and traumatic...not what you expect when you go to the hair salon. Service: Hairstyling
