        I can honestly say that this group saved my life. I was morbidly obese and was steadily eating myself to death, due to a number of issues, both physical (brain tumour affecting my memory) and mental (I was bloody miserable). When I joined Slimming World, I did it because my Support Worker at the time insisted that I needed to. I didnt believe her, but I can honestly say its the best thing Ive ever done. Dont get me wrong - I still have a long way to go weight wise, and my other health issues havent gone anywhere - but I can honestly say that I have made real friends at my Slimming World group, who support me, and are there for me when I need them. Without group, I dont think it is an exaggeration to say Id be a lot worse off than I am, and could in fact have wound up bedridden, if not worse. I love my group and I love the plan .

      Dont get me wrong - I still have a long way to go weight wise, and my other health issues havent gone anywhere - but I can honestly say that I have made real friends at my Slimming World group, who support me, and are there for me when I need them.
