Sime boilers are very reliable, you can always rely on them to let you down when you need them most, like in the depths of winter. Its a very fragile little boiler and shuts off when it gets cold which is a shame coz thats when I need the heating on. It also stops working if the ambient temperate is too warm in the summer. I inherited this boiler when I bought the house and CANNOT WAIT to get a new one. The previous owner told me he could only find one person who was willing to service it and he lived 45 miles away coz apparently plumbers etc. wont go anywhere near them.

Appalling customer service. Boiler always breaking down and local engineers struggling to fix. Company gave me name of local engineer who was familiar with make but he wasn't taking on new customers so they washed their hands of me. Only 4 years old and looks like I'll be replacing it with a valiant. Avoid at all costs.

Only negative I have is that sime are not contactable over the weekend. My wife and I had a cold weekend because we had no heating however I rang sime service department first thing monday morning and an engineer was at my house 2 hours later. He was very polite and explained what was wrong, the boiler is approx 8 years old and covered by a 10 year warranty he fixed the boiler my wife and I are happy can other companies beat that service?

We inherited this boiler from previous owners and it has to be the worst boiler I have ever had. It continues on a regular badus to stop working costing us for engineer to repair. I would not recommend this product to anyone ever! Unless you want the cost on adverdge 4times a year for an engineer to get it back working again. Most plumbers don't recommend them! In fact the last plumber said oh no not a simi!!!! The after care was as bad as the boiler.. But on reflection I bet they are fed up of complaining customers calling on a daily basis! Can't wait to rip the boiler out and replace it with a decent reliable boiler. Reading some of these reviews is hilarious some seem to be thrilled to bits with their boiler but wait a while then you'll notice they just stop working so best save some cash people for those repair bills because they definitely will be arriving especially when it's cold and you need your heating on. After all isn't that why we have a boiler? Word of warning if your thinking of installing the simi DON'T
