We found the black base to be flimsy as it buckled enough for the trays to lift up in the middle. I had to make a frame to support and strengthen the base to stop it flexing. I feel this shouldnt be necessary at the price point and thought the frame plan was only required to raise it from the ground? We also had trouble keeping the perches in place and found the back panel was bowing outward causing the perches to drop out. Disappointingly I had to resort to screwing from the outside panels into the perches to pull it together. At the price I would expect thicker materials such as my childrens Little Tikes playhouse which is built extremely strongly.

I am delighted with the quality of my Clever Coop. It's very well made and really easy to put together. It is also very easy to take apart to clean, unlike my Solway, which you cannot really take apart to clean properly due to the 'pegs' that fasten it together. I like the benefit that the double skin helps with insulation keeping the hens warm and cool where needed A really friendly company with a great product.
