A wonderful hotel within the beautiful village and grounds of Castle Ashby, Northampton. We stayed for 2 nights and all the staff across the hotel from the receptionists to the restaurant staff and bartenders were just fantastic. We were made to feel very welcome, staff were very warm, friendly and they went above and beyond to make us feel extremely comfortable. The hotel is beautifully decorated, breakfast and menus were quite varied and the food quality fantastic. Didn't want to leave but will certainly be returning! The shopping yard on the doorstep is lovely as is the grounds of Castle Ashby, all within walking distance.

Unbelievable stay but NOT in a good way. It was like appearing in a farce but without the laughs. The room was cold, small, dark and in need of decorating in areas but was considered deluxe & over 300 a night. The room had the heating set at air con in January! The hotel staff couldnt adjust it or provide a different room. Eventually, past midnight they managed to change the heating to 30 degrees! We were then so hot we couldnt sleep, hot air fans blasting out from the ceiling all night. We also had a drone outside our bathroom window.. Total invasion of privacy and after complaining it transpired it was there at the request and knowledge of the hotel! Reception staff told us that the hotel didnt have a manager when we tried to discuss our experience, apparently just a part time consultant.. Poorly managed (by someone!). Ludicrous prices for food, drink and accommodation for a poor luxury experience. Youd be better off staying at a budget hotel and save yourself 500

I stayed here for several nights & planned to stay for a lot longer due to needing short term local accommodation. Its the nosiest hotel Ive ever stayed in. I was woken in the middle of the night every night. The girls who work on reception are very friendly but the hotel manager has no idea how to run a hotel with incredibly poor customer service. This put myself off ever going back.
