Silverdale Hotel

Arrived on Friday 12th at 3pm and was meet by the owner Jackie who showed me to my room then told me about the safety regulations of the Hotel. That was the only time I saw her or anybody else for my whole stay. The reason for my trip was to visit the black Country Living Museum which I was told was about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the hotel, I only managed it once as it was 45 minutes away, the rest of the time I had to get taxis at 4.20 a time The hotel did do breakfast but it was only a continental breakfast which one had to pay 3 extra for, this was on top of the 75 per night that I had already paid. The reason for me paying 75 per night was because of the 1940s event that was taking place that weekend, the price is usually 60 per night The room I had was on the ground floor number 5 which was clean and airy, with a good selection of tea and coffees. The bathroom was a good size although the corner shower was a little on the small size if one is on the large size. I have always been used to large bath towels being supplied in other hotel/b and bs that I have stayed in however on this occasion the bath towel was just a little larger than a hand towel. As already stated I only meet Jackie the owner for 5 minutes so I cant give an opinion on that aspect of my stay. All in all I was a little disappointed with my stay at this hotel,I was expecting so much more Would I stay at this hotel again.......Probably not
