I visited the site as part of my long-term photography project to visit as many historic sites across the UK as I can and it certainly was worth visiting.
Whilst most of the monastery is in ruin, there are still several really well preserved sections. One of these is the Priory lodgings which is in really good condition given it's age.
An audio tour is available which is really informative and transports you back in time as your imagine how the monks lived at the Priory.
If you find yourself in North Norfolk, Castle Acre Priory is definitely worth a visit. It's maintained by English Heritage. There is a small museum on the site also.
