A great place to stay. Really close to Cragside NT house, near Rothbury, and the room was huge, warm and comfortable with a vast en suite bathroom. Very comfortable bed and a delicious breakfast. The hosts were really friendly and had loads of information on local history (including the fascinating historic silo on site) and their ecology and sustainability projects. Very highly recommended.

Just spent a most enjoyable week at "East Cottage", Cragend Farm, Rothbury. Everything provided for self-catering needs, comfortable beds, friendly and helpful owners. Paths and fields to walk our dog. Cows, goats, sheep, hens - even a peahen sitting on an egg in her nest. Very interesting history and artefacts of this farm which is associated with nearby NT property, Cragside.
