My dad has been at The Homestead since August , all the staff has made him feel very welcome and he has settled it well, you only have to ask for something and it is either done or sorted. The staff are so caring and the food looks amazing , since being there Dads mental and physical well being has improved, thank you to all the staff from the manager to the deputy, office staff, care staff , cleaners, chefs and housekeeping you are doing an amazing job !!

Please read this factual account of why I thoroughly recomend The Homestead care home in Carterton, Oxfordshire. My wife's first remark on seeing her lovely new room for the first time was "It's just like being at home" and that is how her stay proved to be. The wonderful staff, whatever their responsibility, were so patient, kind and professional. I can't thank them enough. I remain a volunteer at The Homestead because they deserve all the help they can get and ALWAYS PUT THE RESIDENTS FIRST.

Total lack of communication. Mum was on the dementia floor and it was impossible to get through on the phone for any updates most of the time, although we were told to call anytime. We were not informed until 2 weeks after that mum had covid, and at one point we were emailed a photo of mum naked from the waist down to show a bruise on her arm. We did not feel residents on the dementia floor were treated with respect or dignity. Staffing levels were poor.
