July 2020 - during COVID-19: The staff service here was terrible. We arrived at the reception and were told to go to the side gates and wait there because apparently that was the entrance for us to go in. 15 minutes later, a staff decided to take our temperatures and she said that our temperature was too high. Of course it was too high! The sun was blazing on us for this long. We mentioned that to her so the staff said that we can either sit in the car for a while or wait in the shade, so we decided to wait in the shade. However, that did not do much as our temperatures were still relatively high. Hence, I had to speak to my elder through a WINDOW. My elder is over 90 years old and has hearing problems and was expected to sit by the window with the window only opened at the top, to be able to converse with us. Ridiculous! And when my elder stood up to hear us better, one of the staff told her to sit back down. Our conversation was not as smooth and peaceful and it had made me very frustrated. If our temperatures were measured before we waited outside for 20 minutes then yes, I would accept that we are not permitted to visit our elder, but no, that was not the case. I am extremely frustrated with the staff at this care home. I wanted to see my elder as it is not easy to see her with my work schedule.
