I have been to this post office to redeem a voucher (Gov help) from my utilities supplier and the guy (a young and tall boy who wears glasses) refused to scan the barcode from my phone and asked me for a physical copy of the letter to be kept there for their record. He stated in a very confrontation tone of voice that without the hard copy, he couldn't redeem the voucher. The email, I have received from the supplier, clearly says that there is no need of a print-out, it just need to be shown at the PO. I am wondering why people, who work in a post office, want to keep a letter with sensitive information (name, surname, address) for their record. Unfortunately and sadly, only one word comes to my mind. S C A M. Be careful neighbours!
