Carlton Hall Residential Home & Village

Our father, who has just passed away, was a resident at The Granary of Carlton Hall. We were very impressed with the care and dedication of all the staff there. We spent a couple of weeks in almost constant contact with our father as he reached the end of his life and we were always made to feel welcome and cared for, ourselves. Our father was a dignified and proud gentleman and each and every one of the members of staff recognised that and treated him with gentle kindness and respect. We will always be grateful to them for how they helped to make our last days with him as good as they could be.

What an absolutely fabulous care home, I can't recommend them highly enough. I can honestly say the staff are out of this world, they are always smiling (even through the pandemic), they really do care for their residents and they go above and beyond the call of duty. The actual home and its surroundings are beautiful and it looks more like a very posh hotel rather than a care home. My mum moved here at the end of October 2019 and was rather frail to say the least. To see her today on what is her 83rd birthday was fantastic especially after not being able to see her for over 9 weeks due to Covid-19. The progress she has made since we saw her last has been amazing, she has put on weight, can hold herself upright in her chair and is using both of her hands again but most importantly she is happy. I can't praise the staff enough for their efforts during this pandemic, keeping the residents safe from infection and for their precision planning in enabling us to do a drive thru with all the correct social distancing measures in place etc just so we would see mum on her birthday, it meant so much to me and my family.
