The military museum has plenty to keep you occupied even if you're not interested in killing machines the history of the brave men of Cumbria is enough to bring a tear to your eye. For me the medal drawers were a huge eye opener.
Very friendly and informative staff, who were on hand to tell you about elements of the castle and it's history.
Well worth a visit if you're in the area.
