The reception staff here were freindly. However the people I went to see! The crisis team!! I feel are confused about what there role is ? They told me very quickly! We're not a talking therapy group, And kept asking me what I want from them? I think police and doctors, who routinely refer people to the crisis team. Need to know that this crisis team are a dead end in the support chain. Yet like robots, people are still referred there. The crisis team were in fact set up, As a money saving idea to keep people at home. The NHS mental health system is nothing but a gesture of support, without any real or practical benefit to the most vulnerable in society.

I am currently staying here under section 2 and I am shocked at the pure neglect and controlling nature of the staff here. They do not care for the safety of the patients here. I do not feel safe in this environment.

Friendly, professional nursing staff on Hadrian Unit. They were kind and helpful with my daughter in a mental health crisis. X

They stop medication without discussing with the patient even though the average idiot even knows the consequenses of immediate cessation of antidepressants. They say they will raise IR1 after admitting multiple non-conformances ( internal report) but don't, they see themselves as unaccountable. It is the opposite of a therapeutic environment, heavy metal and rap music at volume 11 all times of day. They have posters advising key points on +ve mental health, including diet..They feed you cheap processed sausage rolls and baked beans with added sugar . Hygenie is poor, you don't have to be an inpatient to see, just glance inside of staff minging cars, old takeaway food and containers rotting in passenger seats. A fine example of the lack of professionalism of todays Britain.
