Wasn't going to put a review of this place as it it too good to let others know about. What can I say, a very clean yet unassuming building from the outside. We stayed in room 4 which was extremely tastefully decorated with lots of nice touches like the en suite which looks like another small building in the corner, having a mini fridge was another nice touch also other wee things like the tea coffee facilities including mini marshmallows for hot chocolate, the wee gift packs with sweets and chocolates, the information pack was also very detailed. Great location just 5-10 minutes drive from the M6 and 5-10 minutes walk to the Sands Centre and into the city centre too. Parking was right next to the guest house and permit was sorted out with the friendly owner on arrival. If I'm being picky then there isn't much of a view from the room, check out is quite early and breakfast costs extra, which we never tried. Normally when we get a room for the night it's just a base and a bed, but felt comfortable and homely in here and could quite easily spend some time in the room. Would definitely stay again next time we are in this area. Highly recommended.

Rooms: Quirky ,bright great privacy cosy setting . Was a little cold in December as the heating wasn't working. Walkability: Close to amenities. Good recreational walks nearby and lots of countryside snd views aswell as historical buildings.
