For a Friday night I was seen and assessed by very polite staff had MRI done plus blood tests etc all in 3 hours so I'm not complaining as I was very happy with the way I was treated in such a clean and relaxed manner

Absolutely disgusting. They put their own efficiency over the patient's comfort. We went in for minor surgery at 12pm and got out by 7pm after they told us they wouldn't do the surgery because the safety team or whatever left early. This is very stupid since we were last on the list with two patients ahead of us. Clearly, the team lack humanity. They told us the core problem is that they're understaffed. Well, if that's the case, DON'T CALL IN MANY PATIENTS IF YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH STAFF. But, obviously this isn't efficient for their precious time.

It's dirty and filthy in every room or ward I've been on, it used to be much better year's ago before they contracted cleaning out. Experienced many mistakes, zero communication between other departments or hospitals, some don't read your notes and basically I've had to make several complaints to find out that I was being fobbed off for year's, saying my scans were all clear, when all my scans have been showing problems since OCT 2019? There's some great staff but unfortunately they're few and far between and I personally feel sorry for them being landed with training staff constantly and having to do more work than they should. I've given 1 star for the good staff, 1 star for finally getting a decent consultant, 1 star for finally diagnosing me after 5.5 year's. But it needs deep cleaning in every department. Food also needs improved for people who are sick. I've seen Doctors with hair longer than their bum's, with hair all over the floor round their seats.. surely they should be made to wear a hairnet with hair that long. Standards need improving and even the NHS staff agree. Plus didn't see the Doctor wash her hands at any point after my examination, she was in and out of the room for advice. pandemic?? I was also sent to South Tyneside hospital where they didn't even have me on system for the appointment after having the patency capsule scan. I've had over 5 year's of this now! The only good thing I can say about South Tyneside is it's much cleaner than Carlisle. If food and cleaning were better it would have been 5 star's. I hope the government do something to save the NHS before we lose anymore decent NHS staff. I've been to 3 different hospital trusts now and I've experienced the same from all of them. Carlisle finally came through for me in the end so I'm grateful to them for that but until you become unwell, you don't realise how much of a battle it can be. Their system is not working properly for the staff or the patient's.

After a stroke - I have to thank everybody involved with my fantastic professional speedy treatment. From Dave, the senior paramedic, to all the stroke team on arrival, the CT team and all on the ward, from the consultants, all the nurses and the nice young lady in charge of food, ensuring I didn't go hungry!
