The Last Zebra

What a super, stylish, great gastro bistro this quirkily named The Last Zebra is. We were recommended it by a local for a place where we could get 'good' food. We arrived mid afternoon on a Bank Holiday and were greeted by deliciously sweet, friendly and knowledgeable young staff. They were funny, engaging and ever so helpful (they organised the charging of one of my devices that needed charging). The menu was literally edible (well not quite) but it was hard to choose as everything sounded fabulous. We saw other plates arrive at other tables and were impressed, when ours arrived we were not only NOT disappointed, we were thrilled at the portion size. I had the Sea Bass Mash and I'd go back everyday for the rest of my life to eat it if I lived in Carlisle, it was amazing. Hubby had the Steak Frittes and the rump steak was huge and cooked perfectly to order. Everything was really fabulous, and we'd definitely recommend. The crowd is mainly young, gorgeous and trendy, it's probably the place to be seen (in Carlisle), we're not local but looking at the patrons I'm making that decision. Don't be put off if you're older, we are, the staff were so nice you'd be welcome if you were 204 years old To sum up great food, great service, gorgeous decor and super location.

Amazing, thanks to the staff for the efforts and the Cook for the excellent food, they have prepared for us! The best place to dine in Carlisle! Parking: Two paid parking lots, nearby, behind the hotels near traffic and junction.
