Lovely woodland with easy parking and great access. The paths are very good and well laid out making visiting very pleasant & is suitable for all abilities. The trail to the tall tree itself is pretty short but there are plenty of trails leading further into the woods. The site has been extremely thoughtfully designed with the bridges along the all access trail having been decorated with poetry etc which adds to the interest. The interpretation is plentiful with all the information about the tree and Douglas firs in general.

It was a bit wet the day we visited but it's still a great walk with the dogs. The car parking is free & stoned There is a trail at the top end of the car park with various childrens or adult play apparatus, it is a steep walk up & down which winds around but isn't clearly marked for direction, work your way around until you get to the Tallest Tree. There is also a trail from the bottom of the car park which is flat & good for wheel chairs (5 mins & your at the Tree. There is also very limited parking at the Tall tree trail up the dead end lane so try your luck if you can't walk far.
