The long version:
So, rode my bike ( Honda CBF 600n ) to SJP to do a MOT and couple of little bits (install heated grips, new indicators etc ) in Feb 2021.
While I'm traveling bike cut off while it was idling so I have mentioned this that it happened.
SJP start a guessing game on what this might be caused by, and asked me whenever I want to buy parts to fix this ( injectors, position sensor, spark plugs ).
I stated that I need the bike fixed and in bests shape so I agreed to buy all what was deemed necessary. Have waited 6 weeks for part to be delivered ( apparently sent to wrong address ).
Mid April SJP called me in and said that bike still have issue(s), now even worse as it doesn't even start. He kept repeating that "this is a nightmare bike" and in a way told me that the cause of this behaviour is unknown. I already had a bill of 1.3k and bike that I can't ride home.
I insisted that this need to be resolved so bike was taken to Bella Motors ( Honda service ). That was another 300 added to the bill, but at least bike was running after that unfortunately the cut off fault was still there.
SJP stated that he doesn't know how / wishes to continue fixing it which was the biggest letdown. I was left with 1.7k bill and bike that ain't road worthy and no MOT.
I was big fan of supporting local businesses but was met with lack of competence.
After experience like this I can't recommend that to anyone.
