I got a quote to carpet my new home , I saved my hard working money to pay for for over a year. couple of days before fitting I was advised that they did not actually have the carpet I choose , was more unnecessary stress after a huge move/refurbishment of the property. I had to go to the small shop in canvey to choose an alternative carpet , very small selection, they had already taken 500 deposit so I had no choice but to stick with them or loose 500. After the pressure of having to choose a very light carpet as the other choices I really didnt like, I have children so light carpet would not of been my first choice. The choice was taken away from me at that point. After the cocky fitter arrived and demanded I pay him the rest of the 1600 on that day I agreed and did so in cash as they insisted rather than bank transactions.oh also after having to choose a different carpet completely the price went up 400. From the beginning of dealing with Tony we agreed there was to be no joins in the rooms , obviously the carpet cut to room size as it should be. Well after fitting I discovered that my sons room had a sneaky join that Tony him self( I found out later from the fitter) told them to do , very deceitful & disappointed after literally clearing my bank account out. Also a week later the carpet had come away from the front door and a runner joining the hall way to the lounge. No apology or discount was offered , I advise customers steer clear of this carpet shop as they are not true to there word and its been nothing but unnecessary stress , like moving and decorating ect is not enough for us to deal with, all that on top was almost unbearable for me with lockdown ect really hot me down and I would not wish that experience on anyone. Tread with caution is my advice, if possible avoid at all cost.
