Amended - although the funeral and the service was great and liz was brilliant the later part regarding the headstone has been horrific!! 8 month delays which is expected but no phone calls keeping us updated. After you have paid 1000s on a headstone the least you could do is keep your customers updated. Worst part is when we called for an update we have an email back from them confirming the delays but in the email trail staff members saying Im glad I dont have your job and people are so impatient and to top it off on a brighter note talking about there dog Which I found extremely disrespectful at a very difficult time. I would look elsewhere as these people clearly have no compassion at these difficult times.

Never having experienced arranging a funeral I have to thank Liz of the canvey island branch for taking me step by step through all the arrangements for the cremation of my mum . Liz kept in contact throughout the time mum was with them. I would without doubt recommend A W Alden funeral directors for their excellent service

This funeral company was everything we could wish for. Liz who arranged our funeral was the kindest most compassionate person. She always thought about our needs down to every detail and followed up on all elements of the funeral. She also phoned us at home to check we were OK. James needs a special mention for the beautiful coffin and trimmings. Mum looked as beautiful as she possibly could. So thanks for doing a great job on her. Our vicar Colin did a lovely service and really thought about what we needed, also checking on us at home. The gentlemen taking care of mum on the day Were so considerate and lovely taking care of mum with the utmost respect. I am so glad I picked alden's it was a perfect day. If you are thinking of funeral arrangements please use aldens you have my guarantee it will be the best decision you can make.
