My first interaction with Osella was through an interview process for a recruitment role, I had an initial video call, then the owner wanted to meet me for a coffee where he told me he was interested in my skills as a marketer and he was considering hiring me for that instead. He told me about the extremely high turnover in the company and how he had so many staff leaving and starting, this should have been an immediate red flag. Following this meeting, he asked me to put together a presentation, which I did. I then met him to deliver it, following this, he asked me to create a 6 month marketing plan for them. I got the impression this was to get free marketing advice from me so was not keen and made this clear. He then called me the following day to ask me to freelance and design two documents for him on canva, he had seen my design skills I had used for the presentation and I agreed. 90 for 6 hours work and unlimited edits, which was a good gesture on my behalf as I was hoping to continue this agreement. Another red flag, was agreeing to have this paid cash in hand, he told me this is how he pays his builders also. I turned the documents around in less than 24 hours, and sent the first draft, Jon's immediate response was that they were good and asked for my bank details. About 6 days later, I had not received any amendments or payment, so I chased. I received a message back two days later telling me the documents where not what he was looking for and a member of his team had redone them. I had set up the companies Canva account with their brand colours which I had to find out myself, all of their logo's and images, set their palette etc They almost replicated the work that I had done on one document and ignored me when I asked about the other document. Jon bragged to me about how the company had made 100k in a month multiple times and has refused to pay me 90 for 6 hours of work that I am entitled too. He is unprofessional and rude, I would steer clear of this business from the perspective of a potential employee or using them to recruit for you.

I got an email from of the workers about a week ago that he is currently headhunting for a Dutch firm and would like to discuss it through phone. I sent him over my cv and he was supposed to call me at a given time the next day. An hour passed still didnt get any call so I have decided to call him. He told me that they are located in UK which is a different time zone. However then he told me that all of his clients are from France and Netherlands so does this happen every time? The person started asking me questions about my profession without any introduction at all. I literally had to ask him what company does he work for, what do they do etc. After about 4 questions regarding my work experience, I asked him that in the email he was talking about a specific work proposition and obviously I would like to know more. I was told that their client would like to remain anonymous and he cannot tell me anything about it at this time. Hmm.. First thing which came to my mind was that this whole thing is a scam and Ill need to pay some absurd money at the end of the month for calling to the UK. Then I googled up their website which seemed quite professional so I think it was just one of their workers which had a bad day. I hope this feedback will help you reflect. Cheers.
