Where to start with this terrible experience? First, the book image shown in their AbeBooks listing was deceptive. So the book I received was not what I wanted. Then they said that they take no responsibility for what the cover says. After a lengthy email exchange with a customer service rep I was told Id receive a 40% refund. However, that was later rescinded with absolutely no explanation at all. This company does not understand or value customer service. Sometimes you need to say our bad, how can we make this better? Their solution was to say, sorry, were not r doing anything. Thus, Ill never order from this company again.

Stocks books Amazon wont (censorship), so I binned Amazon and use Blackwells, the bookshop for grown-ups. Very pleased.

Compton Pianos
Ordered 4 books which they said where in stock and to be dispatched within 48hrs. They clearly weren't in stock, they were dispatched at 3 different times. Two took 12 days to arrive!! (of course the ones I needed most urgently) Their phones have been closed down, so you can't talk to anyone, and an enquiry about the delay took 4 days to get a reply. I was trying to support a UK company and avoid Amazon, but I definitely will avoid using them again.

Purchased books for a final year of course myself via online despatched by Oxford store. Fine. Came fairly quick. My university sent us books as I don't like using online resources as it hurts my eyes and I'm no longer a spring chicken obviously. Did not need two lots of the same books as a bit pointless so took the books the university sent to me back to this shop in Kent University in Canterbury and didn't even know it was there in all honesty. Refunded me my books and I have the receipt see attached then refunded the university when the books were my one's that I purchased and the university will not refund me the money. Eventually after a note from Joan At Blackwells online the poor woman sorted out the mess inflicted on them and me from Blackwells in Canterbury. Big Thank You to Joan. I will remember to order direct from Blackwells rather than ever go anywhere near Canterbury campus store again.
