Here we are in the nerve centre of Christianity in England. Can I find a card with a Christian message? NO. I can't believe that those in charge of a beautiful Cathedral steeped in Christian worship for centuries could miss the opportunity to spread the message of the gospel to the tourists passing through! Where do the people of Canterbury go for their Christian gifts and cards? Even on a business basis, surely this is an error? Has Archbishop Welby ever visited? Has he noticed the huge omission? Can someone put the message of God's love into Canterbury?

Clearly a great sense of history upon entering and some breathtaking architecture. Well worth the visit but from a personal point of view I thought it was slightly over commercialised which detracted from the majesty of the place Cafe kiosk disappointing but plenty on offer outside cathedral grounds.

Update 08/09/2021 The shop is now part of the relocated Visitor Centre accessed by entrance next to the Christchurch gate of Canterbury Cathedral. The shop which was at 25 next to Rymans has permanently closed. The cathedral store is mainly for tourists/visitors but it does have unusual gifts for a child or an older or religious relative.
