I am so sick oh this health service. I have had lots of problems with the staff in the past but today I am very upset because I waited on hold in the queue for an HOUR only to be hung up on as soon as I got through. I have a worrying problem and I just want to talk to someone. Furthermore, with another issue I had in the past, I was told the doctor would talk to someone else to have it fixed. This was completely forgotten about.

Absolutely abysmal doctors. Tick-box approach. If you don't have the 'correct' symptoms, they are completely unable or unwilling to help you, because they are incapable of thinking outside the box. I was repeatedly told I was suffering from depression and/or stress for years. I was put on unnecessary antidepressants and made to feel like a complete hypochondriac and timewaster by most of the doctors at this surgery. Turns out I was suffering from an autoimmune disease. I had a very bad immune response recently and just wanted a check over to make sure nothing more sinister was going on. Doctor literally said 'what would you like me to do about it', then tried to convince me that it must be - you guessed it - stress! Now finding myself a new doctor. I should have done so years ago, it might have saved me years of misery and ill health.

Phoned in the morning and had a phone consultation later that afternoon. Doctor very friendly, prescription sent electronically and was able to pick up the same day from Boots.

I booked a Gp appointment and I waited 3 weeks for it. The Gp called me and told me that I need to call the receptionist and book a face to face appointment as he would need to see me in person. I called reception but there weren't face to face appointments for another 3 weeks. I was told to call back at 8 am the next morning. When I called, they told me that their phone lines don't open until 8:30. So I called back at 8:30...it said "line busy". I repeatedly called every 3 seconds for the next 20 minutes. When they finally answered all of their appointments had been given out to other people. How did other people get through when I had been calling without pause from the moment their phone lines opened? There should be a que so that there is fair distribution of appointments for the day based on who has called first and not on pot luck. I'm extremely dissapointed with this service.....
