1-star is as low as I can go. We were visiting Canterbury on vacation, and went out of our way to visit this supposedly "premier LGBTQ+ venue". We had planned to have a few drinks and enjoy an afternoon there. Our first round of drinks on draught were horrid. I've tended bar for much of my adult life and I assure you beer shouldn't taste like that. When the beer tastes awful it points to poor cleaning procedures and cleanliness standards of the establishment. We switched to bottles for our second round. That was just the beginning. We were the only paying guests and, in my opinion, the music was way too loud. As we sat and "enjoyed" our drinks a woman clearly under the influence of some white drug or another, just helped herself behind the bar. Her behavior was frenetic, she was unkempt and clearly needed a bath. Not only was it unclear whether she worked there, but her soiled presence behind the bar was definitely off-putting. I'm a lifetime fan of dive bars, but this was the dirtiest, diveyest bar I've ever been to. Ugh. Stay away!

Great venue for all ages sex & gender staffs kind friendly and always there to help musics good DJ always play what your after place is clean and tidy with good drink deals one of the top places to go in canterbury
