Had my hair done with Grace. Ive never been happier with my hair and she knows her stuff. Grace is also super lovely and friendly which makes the experience great altogether. Will definitely be coming back!

Im quite upset with the call I have just received. Ill go for two stars with merit that the ladies that have cut my hair have been wonderful. I visited in January on a rough mental health day to donate my hair. It was a last minute appointment and I was grateful to be fitted in for a little self-care. But throughout the whole experience I felt Matt was not confident in cutting hair. I referred to the hairbands needed several times for the hair donation, as stated on the instructions of the Princess Trust (and this was my second donation), but they were not taken. As he began to pull my hair together to cut, I asked if he had done donations before as I was concerned about tying the hair off and he assured me he was. Of course, as he was a professional in a position of power and I was feeling rough I did not make further requests. He continued to cut my hair lopsided without the hairband to brace it together and I was given my hair in a handful to then tie. For the style I said short rough and choppy, although Id previously had blunt cuts. I presented a picture of a short choppy hair cut I previously had, knowing it was better to present an example on me so we were both on the same page. I also shared that I was growing out my fringe so it would help if it was merged in. Although my hair has a few waves, it is mostly straight and I was confused when products and styling for curly hair were used, but again, I let the professional control. I left with a very sharp blunt cut, with a messy style to finish. I had shared I dont do much to style my hair so short and choppy meant minimal styling. But a blunt cut that is sharp is not what I asked for and nor do I have the time to style. In addition, my fringe was cut extremely short and could not be merged in. I had left it several months hoping the style would grow out. I had taken action myself and bought thinning scissors within the week to try and make some change to lighten the ends (unsuccessfully). I only cut my hair once a year as I grow to donate, but with my little sisters hair needing a cut and still not getting on with the style as it grew, I thought Id treat myself to getting it fixed. On calling, the hairdresser I spoke to was very understanding that I wanted to see one of the ladies I had good experiences with and put the effort in to find time for me and my sister after school. However, I have just received a call from the receptionist to investigate why I was unhappy with my hair. I explained it was fine, Id come back to get it sorted. She shared that Matt would see me, which I wasnt too happy with as I had expressed I did not want to see Matt again. She asked why I did not share my dissatisfaction on the day and I shared that having a bit of a bad mental health day, I wasnt confident at the end of the experience to say it wasnt for me. She then stated that it was my mental health that would be the reason for the miscommunication on the issue with the hair donation. Although I appreciate efforts are being made to make contact, to take my words around mental health and to reduce my experience and the detail of the issue to that and then blame me for my experience, which I was more than happy to pay to resolve, was unfair. I do not feel comfortable returning if members of staff reduce people down to their mental health. Everyone has down days, but that does not mean their experience is false or invalid. Again, other than the bad haircut from Matt and the offensive call from the receptionist today, lovely collection of hairdressers. Its a shame that a little dissatisfaction that I was happy to resolve was taken this way and led to such a bad encounter. Service: Hairstyling
