Betterspecs Opticians

Ive had a really good experience here. Tim the optician is wonderful, they have all the latest equipment. They spent a long time helping me choose my glasses. My second pair never worked for me so they put in new lenses but they were the same. In the end they put in simple lenses for me which worked, and didnt charge me any more. Very happy with Betterspecs.

Needed reading glasses so had to bite the bullet and have an eye test. The knowledgeable optometrist explained everything thoroughly and put me at ease. I was impressed by the hi-tech equipment and the overall experience was excellent. The staff helped me find the perfect frame. Thanks! Very happy to support this local independent business.

Excellent customer service and cater very well for your needs. Good nhs range as well as high end. Nice friendly staff especially the lovely red haired lady. Very patient and kind. Didnt feel the approach was hard cell. Just good recommendations. Will come again.

What a shambles. Do not use for your sanity. After years of putting off having my eyes tested I finally bit the bullet. This took alot for me. -Turns out I needed a prescription. If I'd had thought that it would be the most time consuming, anxiety induced situation in the history of being seen by a so called practitioner I'd had preferred to have had my head shaved, blood taken and teeth removed even though none of this was needed! Since picking up my prescription I have since returned to the Betterspecs 5 times to attempt to rectify their mistake of not listening or communicating with each other. I work! Alot! I travel! Alot!!! I do not need to spend what little time I have off work dealing with rude and incompetent people. Some staff are polite, sorry and understanding and hold their hands up whilst others mostly not even involved in the transaction are disgustingly obnoxious, don't call back and then send a spiteful overtaking cantankerous person to call you up with no concideration or empathy to rely a message of attack. 6 different people now - I just should have gone to Specsavers! I wanted to avoid chain stores but sadly a refund and a trip to vision express seems like the only solution at this point.

Easily THE WORST opticians I have ever had the misfortune of speaking to. Every time you ask for your prescription which is your right to have, they make a huge fuss and create multiple excuses trying to prevent it. Honestly Im just completely disgusted by this place. They dont call back to inform you of when your lenses are back and are the most useless at customer service. The only reason I go here i because Im a doctor and have very busy weeks and havent found the time to change yet. Today will, without a doubt be the last time I order anything from them.
