He charged 50 for an initial diagnostic to basically tell me what I already knew (and not even in writing). He then quoted 280 to deal with the minor issues. I just feel people should be aware of his fee structure before even going there. Indeed he needs to be more transparent about it but I guess all those 50 fees add up nicely whether he gets the work or not.

I wonder if they are still there? I have tried to phone them several times but no reply. Could they have closed down? Quick correction: they are in business ,the phone problem was BT's fault. Not only they are in business but Martin went out of his way to get hold of an obsolete part for my old machine and came back with an ingenious solution. Many thanks for an exceptional service.
