As Julie previously said about her dad, my nan went downhill in there very quickly, we took her out of there after just 5 days and she now has carers at home and is much happier. One male carer I saw half asleep in the lounge supposed to be looking after people with dementia. Didn't listen to anything we had told them about my nan, ended up with a bed sore and water infection which nobody mentioned. My nan has celiac disease hadn't got any food in ready for her, even though they knew all this beforehand, my Aunty had to take gluten free porridge as they had nothing suitable in. Informed them she could not eat with a knife and fork, but they left the large meal there for her to attempt to eat. Carer brought in 2 cakes couldn't remember which one was gluten free just left them anyway. Very depressing place, didn't see any activities just stuck in chairs all day, very sad that anyone has to end their days in places like this, unless you are very rich of course. But unfortunately this is happening with care all over the UK, and these poor people are being seriously let down. God help us all.

My dad moved into Windsor House earlier this year, it was a very tough decision, but my dad has settled in so well, we are amazed. The staff are just fantastic, and bring a tear to my eye every time we visit, as their genuine care and love for my dad is so evident, and he loves them back. I never thought I could put my dad into a care home, but Windsor House might not be the Ritz, but my dad is so happy there - that's all that matters. Thank you to your wonderful staff - we appreciate and admire you every day xx

I would not even rate this Care Home , The only thing decent about the place was the cleaner she was lovely , very helpful , The guy was helpful , but other than that I would not recommend it ,. Firstly the staff need to be a level 3 HCA at least , they are far from it , when your dealing with dementia ,its a very complex disease, this home cannot cater for these people., there rooms were left a mess , the bathroom was covered in urine all on the floor allowing residents to walk in it , they would just shove a pad on residents rather than asking or taking them to the toilet , very very understaffed, residents left to sit in a chair , food all over them , no entertainment ,no music , nothing , they couldnt even be bothered to put a radio on for my dad ,!!my dad fell ill they didnt even contact me , because I wasnt power of attorney, my dad died all alone , on his death certificate it stated dementia, my dad didnt die of dementia, he died of Covid , and possibly choked to death , hes not the first in there and he certainly wont be the last !! Do Not Put your loved one in here , you will regret it believe me !!! Place should be closed down !
