I read some reviews before I went which I found really off-putting! This was my experience.... We went on a Sunday morning in April. When we went in there were several shop assistants there and we were told that we could pick 5 dresses and hang them on the rail ready to try on. We were able to freely wander around at our own pace looking at everything on both floors. They took two of the dresses off mannequins for us. Then, when we had our five dresses they asked the name of the school and cross-checked to make sure that they were not selling us the same dresses - one of the dresses was sold to someone at the school, so we went and picked another. I sat in the area with the large mirror and sofas while my daughter went to try the dresses on. She was offered help which she accepted when it came to doing back ties, hooks and eyes etc. The staff outside the changing rooms were unobtrusive and were able to keep an eye on when the clients would need help without compromising their privacy. They chatted between themselves and with the families (three girls were trying on in the shop at the time). The atmosphere was relaxed. There was no pressure to buy and no pressure to choose the most expensive dress. My daughter's dress was 255 and she tried on dresses between 225 and 450. Once we decided to buy the dress she was able to go upstairs to a photo area and take some selfies. I went with her. They have a large selection of evening bags but as my daughter's dress was a very specific colour they did not attempt to sell me something that did not properly match, as they acknowledged that this was the case. The dress is packed in a lovely protective bag and there is ample parking immediately outside the shop. I can't fault it and would recommend it to anyone.

My daughter brought her wedding dress from this shop the lady who helped her purchase the dress was lovely and friendly the problem started when she had her final dress fitting the lady who does the alterations is so friendly polite and caring and take times to make you feel special even though she is not connected to the shop she is a credit she is the only reason I would advise anyone to buy from this shop. On the 25th March we attended the shop for the final fitting and to collect the dress then we went to book the dress in for the steaming and that's when the problems started I am not sure of the ladies name that was on the reception but I have never met anyone as rude as this person. My daughter was told when she purchased the dress that we would need to take the dress to the shop for a couple of dress before the wedding when we mentioned this that's when we got told WE ONLY DO STEAMING I then stated we was only saying what we were told originally I then asked when they steam the dress would any of the glitter on the bottom of the dress (which was from walking upstairs after the alterations where a lot of people had tried been walking around) yet again got told WE ONLY DO STEAMING. There was no eye contact what so ever no please, no thank you I turned to my daughter at this point and said "how rude" at which point the customer behind me agreed. We collected the dress on the 4th April and when we walked in we had the same shop assistant she asked my daughters name and went to back of the store and returned with the original dress bag and stated they were just putting the dress in the duvet cover. Two lovely girls appeared with the dress at which point I said can we have a look at the dress BIG MISTAKE the unprofessional shop assistant rolled her eyes at us but I don't think she expected me to see this I said to my daughter why has she rolled her eyes at which she heard and mumbled something so I said You have just rolled your eyes when we asked to look at the dress at which she said rather stroppy I told you we was putting the dress in the duvet cover so I then said why did'nt you ask us if we wanted to see the dress. I then mentioned that she was rude the other week when we came in the shop I told her I would make a complaint. This shop needs to remember people spend a lot of money especially a bride and we don't expect to be spoken like that by rude member of staff and to be made to feel like that you are something they have trodden in. I have never been made to feel like that by anyone. No doubt Miss UNPROFESSIONAL will have a different take on events I am just glad on the first experience someone else did notice this. If it wasn't for the fact we needed to collect the wedding dress that day I would of asked to be served by someone else but I did not expect to be treated like this again by someone who is supposed to be professional. Unfortunately I did not have the ladies name to warn other people but the shop will now who this member of staff is an maybe offer her some training and personal skills that she is clearly lacking.

Staff was lovely, didn't feel rushed. Plenty of beautiful dresses to choose from.
