I ordered a gate from this company Burbage Iron Craft through Wayfair and waited in anticipation for it to arrive. The said item arrived after approximately 2 weeks. When it arrived I phoned the man who was going to install. When we arrived myself and the installer came to the conclusion that a part was missing, we decided that he could with some modifications work. After a whole day of working to install it rather than send it back he made the gate do the job which infact it was supposed to do with a lot of modifications. Very hard work infact for what should have been a very straight forward installation. On the Saturday afternoon a phone call from a chap called Errol of Burbage Iron Craft. I had very lengthy conversation with Errol and infact explained that I was disabled from a stroke 5 years earlier and that the gate was to be installed as I have just had a mobility scooter delivered that needed to be stored safely and securely. That was the reason whole reason that the gate was ordered in the first place. I went into great detail with Errol explaining that I suffered from sever paralysis from the stroke and the adaptations that had been made to make the gate secure and fit for purpose. Having explained all this to Errol he assumed that he would send me his details, company email, address, etc, etc! The reason I wanted the contact details was to send him pictures of the modifications that had been made so he could look into ways of making the gate work easier for a person with the use of only one arm. Wayfair offered to send me another gate free of charge of which I declined because I did not see why I should cost the company Burbage Iron Craft money as I would have infact ended up with two gates for the price of one. I was doing the right thing! The modifications and labour for the said gate cost me a extra 150.00 on top of the cost of the gate. The bottom is I was given lip service when I thought Errol took my concerns and recommendations seriously, alas not. I was very disappointed that Errol put profit over a person's concerns and completely ignored me as a person and saw me as merely a number. BURBAGE IRON CRAFT SHAME ON YOU!!! SHAME ON YOU ERROL!!! I will add Wayfair customer service had been fantastic in listening to my concerns in all of this.
