Seems that there is always something having maintenance being done to it. At the moment no showers for men! Well unless you want to shower pool side that is! Obviously maintenance needs to be done but its a little annoying having to go home to shower properly. Hot tub has been out for a while now for cost savings as well. But saying all of that the staff are amazing and always have a smile on their faces.

Excellent gym facilities and great trainers. Only spoilt by a really grumpy coffee manager who wouldn't serve a one shot coffee but could do a 2 or 3 shot coffee - mmm how's that work?? Needs a lesson in customer service.

It's a really good facility with lots of great up-to-date equipment at a fair price but there are caveats to that. The biggest issue is the gym is far too busy at peak times - Nuffield will sign up as many new people as possible with no regard for the impact on existing clients. If you go with a workout plan at 6pm you can't always follow it as most of the machinery is occupied. Furthermore, a section of the gym is 'fenced off' at peak times for classes so you can't use that either. Gym etiquette isn't what it used to be - certain people also hog machines for too long (even two machines at once), and some don't replace equipment or clean it after use. It's a shame as I used to really enjoy going but often I just go for a run outside instead as it's less hassle. For the first time in years I am considering terminating my membership!
