The stylishly decorated room I had was very large with a correspondingly large ensuite bathroom with a large freestanding double-ended bath. The bed was very comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep.
Jan asked me what I wanted for breakfast the night before, which ensured that it was ready for me exactly at the time I requested the next morning. It was a sizable breakfast that meant I didn't need much lunch.
There are five pubs in and around Cannington. For food the Malt Shovel (out of town a bit) and the Friendly Spirit probably offer the best selection. The Globe Inn, The Rose and Crown and the King's Head are more local's pubs, but the welcome was still friendly for visitors. The Saffron Indian restaurant is also very popular and situated in the middle of the village.
The Walled Gardens and St Mary's church are definitely worth a visit and there is a nice tea room at the gardens.
