I went to the Heroica Lounge at the start of April, and it was really fantastic. The novelty is around sitting on an old-school double decker bus, but I have to tell you, the pizza was stunningly good. The staff were very friendly, and we managed to take a seat and order. I was expecting an average run of the mill pizza, but what I got was a large Naples-quality pizza that took me right back to Italy. Ive traveled Italy, and Ive eaten in some of the famous pizza places there, and this was on par, if not better. A friend of mine had never had a wood fired pizza, and is now a convert, and we loved it so much we went back again a night or two later. If I lived locally, I would be there all the time. The food was exceptional, and I really cant praise it any higher, would give them six stars if I could! The place has lovely views as well of the emirates cable car etc. and on a nice evening its a beautiful view. I think in time it would be nice for it to have a bit of a refurb upstairs inside, but to be honest, with pizza that good, its really not an issue for me. You can also sit outside. We did takeaway one day and sit in another, but we all found we kept thinking about and talking about how good it was. Wish I could go back now! Thanks Heroica Lounge, Ill be back as soon as I can! Vegetarian options: As a vegetarian, I found there was a choice of a few things I could have. Ultimately I asked to have a margarita with mushrooms which isnt on the menu, which they accommodated no problem. I feel they have a lot of toppings for different pizzas, so if you see something you like, then just ask!
