Dating back to the 12 hundreds, you feel you are stepping back in time as soon as you enter this old church. It fills you with peace and calm and you just want to sit for a few minutes to take it all in. There is a tower which overlooks the area to the river Crouch on one side and Southend on the other beyond, the countryside of Rochford. (You would have to make enquiries here about opening times). Next to the church are the old stocks. A lot of history here and traditional tales.
