Selby Jennings

SJ is flooded with unprofessional and inexperienced Recruiters. Majority of their recruiters are totally inexperienced in recruitment with no knowledge about roles, job specs, applicant experience, employers/company''s nature of business etc. All they want is information from you which company you are interviewing and all the details so they can approach company/employer directly and pitch to get that job on their books. It's extremely disappointing to what low level Selby Jennings has gone.

Very very dodgy. They ask continuously for CVs but never seem them to have them on file

Avoid this unprofessional company! I have that very recent experience with a girl recruiter, it was more to me of a "harassing" call than an "onboarding", they have nothing really to offer, and ask all sorts of strange questions, they want to get as much information out of you and give no value, such a waste of time honestly, persistent calling and annoying, aggressive and unprofessional, I totally regret getting in contact with them at all!!

Dont be fooled they dont have half of the jobs they advertise or talk to you about they simply collect your CV for their next pitch, or they learn about a job opportunity and then collect CVs that allow them to pitch the firm for the mandate you often see the roles they allegedly have coming up on sites but being posted directly by the company themselves - youd think this would be against GDPR somehow (i.e. obtaining personal information on a false basis) once they have the information they just go quiet no feedback. It was always this way with Selby Jennings though, theyve always been murky operators, just a shame GDPR didnt sort them out.

I wish some recruiter could learn not to lie blatantly. It wont be worth it in the end.
