You'd think after the trials and tribulations of lockdown, landlords would be interested in any opportunity to increase footfall. Not so the landlord of the Oak. Went to a gig there on Saturday night, which was great, it is a great space for live music, so you'd think he would be interested in using the space midweek, with my proposal to have Open Mic there. His response was a bit curt, just saying he didn't want open mic. I asked him why not and he said"Its my decision", which of course it is, but you'd think he would have at least done me the courtesy of telling me why! So... I've gone down the road to The Grey Horse, which is a much better place. better venue, more choice of beer, with a very friendly landlord!

A large bar with live music, sport on large TV screens & food. The reason there werent more stars awarded because the toilets are disgusting and there doesnt seem to be any heating on. This seems exaggerated by the owner walking around in a massive jacket.
