Have to change my review to 1 star as this place is a complete chaos. I have been coming here for a year and had an appointment booked a month ago, which was cancelled 1 hour before our slot due to illness. They promised to call to rebook but never did. I have called the place 12 times over the following week with no one picking up the phone and when i finally got through I was told they they are closing at the end of the month and they they will call me within a day to rebook. Obviously I have heard nothing since. I doubt they care about the rating since they just have 10 days of business left, but to be honest i will just avoid any purplebone from now on. If anyone is looking to switch try Union Pets or the groomers in St. John's Wood.

If I could give it a 0 I would. Terrible company. They have cancelled twice on the morning of my puppies appointment now, by text message and never answer the phone or have the decency to call to apologise or offer alternative solutions. They do not care about people or their plans. Their excuse is always the same due to illness. Very unprofessional staff. No wonder the company is shutting down. Do not book or buy for them if you care about your little furry friend

Ordered their oatmeal & green tea shampoos. So far we've only tried the oatmeal - love it! My lagotto pup is clean, smells great and is so soft. Only complaint is that they ship with the pumps in the bottle. Better practice would be to cap the bottles and include a pump. It would also reduce plastic waste if these were optional, as we'll only need one. The shipment leaked and smelled to high heaven, but thankfully not much liquid was actually lost. Will definitely order again.

I have been to Purplebone many times before and was always happy with the groom and customer service. This was my first time going back post-covid. Apart from the downsizing (store front no longer exists) and a complete change of staff and groomers, I also noticed the attitude of both of the receptionist and the groomers has changed. I was told that there is a lot of mitt and its going to take 2 hours for the groom which is fine but when I came back my poor Pom was shaved down to almost nothing. We have never shaved her fur to such extent and I hope she doesnt loose her beautiful fur for ever. All in all, it was very hard to book (and I think they have since shut down online booking as well) , very expensive and the experience was quite unpleasant. I do hope the management (if its still owned by the same people) will take customer complaints into consideration and bring back the good service pre-covid.
